On my recent trip to the United States I bought a few fat quarter bundles. A fat quarter bundle is a collection of fat quarters from a fabric line.
What is a fat quarter? Fat quarters are quarter-yard cuts of fabric cut wide (hence the name fat). Each fat quarter is approximately 18″ x 21″.
I also found this useful chart on Pinterest which shows the different cuts from a fat quarter.

These are the fat quarters that I bought.
Lovely fabrics aren’t they!! Now to find a quilt pattern. Pinterest has a few lovely options.
The Super Scrappy Soccer Quilt
Log cabin quilts like the scrappy cabin quilt by Melly & me. Whoa!!! Imagine the amount of cutting involved!!!
Think I will stick to something easy like a nine patch like this one.
Unfortunately I am not able to find the source for this pic and neither do I have the instructions to make this quilt. I think I will just have to wing it.
